(Found) Native American urban fantasy series

In the last few months, there was a recommendation in one of the many threads in this forum regarding a series which was based on accurately written native Americans. I think it was modern day. I think it was murder mystery.
Might have been shaman as well/instead.

So being really vague here. It was just when I saw the author mentioned I thought "looks great" and then forgot to write it down.

Ring any bells for anyone?
 
I moved this to Book Search, since you are looking for the title(s) of a particular series. I also added "Native American" to the title, which may help you to get the answer you're looking for.
 
If it is an urban fantasy series, it is The Walker Papers series by C.E. Murphy, otherwise, I think you might be looking for Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn & Chee books.
 
Thanks. Think it was the second one - two main characters rings a bell. Also know it wasn't urban.

Having said that, the urban one looks good too so added to my reading list.
