Hi All,

I am 77% done with A Storm of Swords and foolishly thought I was on the last book of the series!

I just ordered Feast for Crows and am wondering if Feast is the most recent installment of the series, and how many books are planned.

I was pleased to see that HBO is going to do Game of Thrones. That will be fun! Can it come close to TLOTR movies? :D

I also read Jordan's Wheel of Time series, but am holding out for the Kindle version of Gathering Storm.

:D

There are four books out now, out of seven planned. A Feast for Crows is the most recent book published.

The remaining volumes are to be entitled A Dance with Dragons, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. Martin is almost done - one way or another - on A Dance with Dragons, which should be out within the next twelve months (touch wood), but it's about three years late so far. He has, however, started work on some material for the sixth book as well.

There is also a planned companion book, The World of Ice and Fire, that will be released some time after ADWD.

There are also three prequel novellas to the series, The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight, which are pretty good and fill in some of the backstory from the series.

Thank you! That is very helpful information.

At least with the prequels I'll have something to read before the next book comes out.

Namaste.

I believe The Mystery Knight is set to be released next Tuesday, March 16, in The Warriors collection from TOR.
