UMMM...I have my ways....
Actually it's called going to one of the myriad local bookshops in Melbourne, discovering an interesting book with the title of Shadowrise, handing over strange coloured-looking plastic squares to an attendant and walking out of the shop and back to home and my library....
*Shadowrise has been out here at least 2-3 weeks....Generally Australia seems to receive a UK publication very soon after the U.K release date, for American titles, albeit we get a lot of imports, it's certainly longer, upwards of 1 month or longer... OH yeh and if you live in the West then you need to add another 2 months onto that....

Contrary to my earlier post, I imagine Shadowrise's availability could be the same here...unfortunately, there hasn't been a convenient book store anywhere near my usual routes for some years now (unless you count the Seventh Day Adventist Book store around the corner from work, which is sadly lacking when it comes to Sci Fi/Fantasy). So, Amazon comes in handy (especially when one has sufficient funds remaining on an Amazon gift card.
