WWIII in Europe with a Hover APC - series

Hi,

I'm looking for the name of a series set in what's left of Europe after a limited Nuclear/Biological war.

It's about a misfit bunch of US & British soldiers who travel in a Hover APC and the main character has a burned & disfigured face. He is looking for his fiancee who went missing during the war and one of the other characters is a Sniper who is on the edge of insanity.

There were about 10 books in the series. I enjoyed reading them years ago and would like to do so again.

As soon as you said 'hover APC' I thought of GEV and OGRE, but can't help you beyond that.
