The Sword (vol 1 - 4)

I read the first two volumes of this graphic novel series called "The Sword" and it was quite good. There are Gods that control different elements (fire (vol 1), water (vol 2), earth (etc), air) and there is a female protagonist who discovers the sword that allows her to seek revenge. I thought that I would mention it because it seems to contain a good storyline and I am not kidding, it is excellent. Maybe a person can relate to the Kill Bill movies as something similar, but I like this better because it has some interesting battles involving elemental forces, and I feel more for the protagonist. The antagonists are quite powerful but at the same time they have human like vulnerabilities. They are all seeking to posses the sword it seems. I read the first two volumes over a year ago and I see that the third volume is now available, and the fourth will be out at the end of this month. I guess that this series has taken a few years to complete, so now it is all there. Yeah it is a nice adventure with suspense and some violence for sure.

In a way I was just making this thread up to let people know that this series existed and that it is worth reading.

She looks like she is ready to fight on the cover of volume 3. I received volume 3 a day or two ago, and this red head is ready to rock. So what I did is I have now re-read volume 1 because I had read it quite a few months ago. It is definitely well written. Yes, and it is surprising that the girl started out as a paraplegic but she learns how to fight, but she has command early on in volume 1 and volume 2, so it might not be that surprising. The antagonists are very complicated unlike what I have seen in some time in comics and the story unfolds slowly. I don't know, maybe they can make a movie based on this series. They would have to find a woman with red hair, and someone that is fairly determined to win. She takes them down hard.

All she needs is a fiddle, that is how hard they fall!!
