A derailed attempt by the Lucian Alliance to seize control of Destiny culminates in hostages and casualties on both sides. With a tense stand off between Colonel Young and his brutal adversary, Commander Kiva, the Destiny starts having ship wide power black outs. To make matters worse, Dr. Rush concludes that these power fluctuations are being caused by deadly bursts of radiation from a binary pulsar that will in a short while cause the shields to fail and kill all aboard the ship.
While the standoff plays out, Eli helps an injured Chloe as they try to make their way back from a remote section of the ship.
Well, they do love their cliffhangers don't they?
I'm expecting more casualties from the supporting cast in terms of the military during the first episode of the next season.
There was a lot of good give and take during this episode and the previous episode. Two military commanders who are pretty much evenly matched, although Kiva is far more willing to do what needs to be done, whereas Young hesitated on a tactical decision which got them into this mess in the first place.
