I haven't found this with a search, so I'm going to post it. Hope it helps you all!
How To Kill Your Imaginary Friends
Described by its author as "a writer's guide to diseases and injuries, and how to use them effectively in fiction", his blog builds upon his experience as a Doctor, educating his readers about various diseases and medical procedures, and providing amusing stories from Med School.
The blog started in January (with a lengthy rant at Joss Whedon and his terrifying depiction of a lumbar puncture) and there have been a number of posts since then.
The latest is the author's experiences in a Hazmat drill:
I Can Haz Mat? How To Kill Your Imaginary Friends
The blog is posted by a fella under the psuedonym of "Doctor Grasshopper", is quite amusing and pretty useful for those occasions when you need to seriously injure one of your characters, or inflict a horrible disease upon them.
Give it a read - not only is a lot of the information interesting, but you'll some of it very handy (for example, there was a post recently about how much blood a character can lose before they die).
