Hope none S&F requests are allowed here. I'm looking for reccomendations on none fiction books about corporate America. Bit of a vague request I know, have picked up a passing interest in the subject, and am at a loss where to start.

I'm sure non SF request are allowed, it's the General Book discussion and anything goes. You should have a look in the business section of the store not sure what types but I did see a book about Enron and their whole story and others of the same like.

I dont have any to recommend but I could probably write a book about how much I hate working for corporate America.

It's a long time since I read it, but The Fate of IBM by Robert Heller probably fits the bill.

Speaking of bills, here's the beginning of the blurb on the book's back cover:
In February 1992, IBM - the giant among computer manufacturers - announced record losses of some $2.8 billion.

Only $2.8 billion? Even given the intervening inflation, this sounds like peanuts to the sums frittered and gambled away in more recent years.

Thanks for the reccomendations guys :) I've started on Gangs of America. Great read so far.
