The Lucian Alliance prisoners are growing restless and desperate. They know food and water supplies are dwindling and ponder what their future may hold. After conducting interviews with some of the Lucian’s, Camile Wray believes a number of the prisoners can be trusted and may even be helpful. Col. Young disagrees and is of the opinion that they are dangerous. After a group of prisoners attack their military detail, he orders that they be relocated to the next habitable planet.

Still recovering from his torture at the hands of Kiva, an exhausted Dr. Rush manages to unlock the master code to the ship’s bridge. There he finds a planet within range that seems viable but for some unknown reason, has been locked out of Destiny’s controls. Its Stargate also appears to be non-functioning. With the need for food and water becoming dire, he decides to override the ships controls and have a crew deployed to the planet in the hopes of finding much needed supplies.

Lt. Scott leads the team to the planet. On approach their shuttle encounters violent turbulence followed by power failure. It crash lands and slides into the side of a cliff causing critical damage. The only way back to the Destiny is through the planet’s Stargate and when they find it, it is in far worse condition than anyone could have imagined.

So, we've had SGU's buried gate story then!

I can't see Rush managing to keep the bridge a secret for very long. The interesting thing for me is the question of whether his wife and Franklin were delusions of his exhausted mind, or connected to whatever Ancient code was downloaded into his brain from his time in the chair.

Nevertheless, next weeks episode looks set to be interesting with the 'object' they are approaching. I see more questions being posed than answered.

It wasn't until I watched the beginning a second time that I realized that rush had a program going for some time to unlock the master code and the pop-up that park discovered had to do with that. He seemed to know where he was going so maybe he knew where the bridge should be before but was unable to open that door.

It was sad the the planet visit was so futile; two steps back even. The episode was all about Rush. I've just seen the next episode but I won't spoil but I can't see him keeping this secret ending well.

Good point, I didn't think of that. I really don't like his conversations with his wife but hopefully is something like that to make it interesting. The one with Franklin was more interesting. The episode was interesting, and I'm really looking forward to see when they found out about Rush control over Destiny. Especially to see the reaction of Young.

I can't see how they won't just kino several key corridors and track where he's going.

As some of you might know I have been away for awhile and this is the first time I have been able to review the one of the best, and at the moment the only space-faring series in the television. All the others has died, and there's almost no other than the animated Clone Wars that most of the people cannot watch. So, I feel extremely sad that the SyFy's board has decided to pull the plug on this series, and at this point starting to watch the episode 3, I am convinced that the season 2 is much, much better than the first one.

The reason for it as you can see from this episode is that they are focusing the storyline, focusing the main characters, all in the order to make it more solid, while they crank up the tension. So, people, please keep watching this series and make the SyFy's board to regret their decision on pulling the plug on this one as they did with the Farscape.

PS. What a character Dr. Rush really is, so controversial, so full of life. I love him.

Yet another televisually criminal act by a bean counter rather than an artistic decision.
