Between Dragon*Con and Disney World, I have barely had time to sit down and work on the things I really NEED to work on, much less the things I WANT to work on.

Plus, I had a deadline or two.

And now I have a story out in Esther Friesner's FANGS FOR THE MAMMARIES from Baen Books titled "Bella and the Flying Lugosi."

And another story came out from Sam's Dot Publishing in their September issue of Aoife's Kiss titled "Willow Walks."

And of course, WANDERING LARK is out there taking baby steps. No responses other than a few folk telling me they loved it. Am hoping more folks will buy copies and eventually to see reviews on the horizon to convince still more people to get it.

At any rate, I am tring to get a couple of abandoned stories and novellas finished so I can submit them. I am staring hard at THUNDER HAMMER and telling myself I Really Need To Get The Editing done on it...

So much to do. So little time.

Work is getting back to normal now that Hairy Larry the Director is no longer there to plague us. The Interim Director has apologized to all the staff for what we put up with over the last six years, and thanking all of us who hung in there and made the most of a bad situation.

Life goes on.

Meanwhile, I hear that my story "Mermaid Songs" will be showing up on the November 1st webzine issue of Sorcerous Signals so I have some more work to do.

Oh, and that is a story you can read for free, but donations are appreciated, and you can vote for favorite stories so that they get into the annual anthology...

Just saying... ;-)

Forgot to add that I released The Demon of Mallow on Lulu.com. It's the novella that takes place a few years after Wandering Lark. Prepayers got a free chapbook edition (limited to 100 copies), and now a regular edition is available for those who were not on the list.

Links are on my webpage at www.sff.net/people/keltora

Enjoy...

It seems like you always have busy months, Laura. I wish you could send some of that energy over here.

I'm glad that things are looking up at work. And congratulations on all those short fiction sales!
