El Topo (1970) - IMDb

That El Topo spagetti western seems to his most rated film,a cult film. It is suppose to be a bizzare take on the genre.

I didnt even know he directed movies and only knew him as a quality writer of comic books, original graphic novels. His films sound weird in a very good way.

I've seen Fando y Lis, El Topo, The Holy Mountain and The Rainbow Thief. I've yet to watch Sante Sangre. All of his films are... weird. The Holy Mountain is especially bonkers. He's definitely a singular voice.

His graphic novels are good, too - I've read Meta-Barons, The Incal, Technopriests and Megalex.

Did he have an aborted attempt at a Dune movie? I have heard of that, but nothing else.
