While Chloe’s increasingly strange behavior becomes a cause of concern, Eli is called back to Earth to deal with his mother’s worsening medical condition. On Destiny, a worried Scott makes a shocking discovery while searching Chloe’s quarters: a journal with Alien script. He shows it to Young and Rush who decide to keep a constant eye on Chloe. Rush, recognizing the complexity of the journal’s contents, has Chloe look over some mathematical problems he’s been working on – with surprising results.

I liked the fact that they had two stories which seemed very different, but were, in parts, very similar. Both were very human stories, despite Chloe's being alien influenced.
We had Eli and Wray both involved with the toll being far off in another galaxy takes on their loved ones. With Eli, there had been no actual contact between he and his mother, and it was heartbreaking for him that he couldn't explain to her why he wasn't there. Then, when he did explain, she, understandably, didn't believe him, which made it worse for him.
The fact that they partnered up Eli's mother with Wray's partner Sharon as a sort of fledgling 'Loved Ones On Destiny' support group.

We also had a good explanation as to how Chloe healed quickly from the gunshot wound; she's been altered by the aliens that kidnapped her.
That in itself bothers me a little; she was taken for days, Rush was taken for longer, and yet they don't appear to have done anything with him.

Once again we also saw Rush putting his goals and needs in front of everyone else, regardless of the consequences. I think he may have used the chair to boost some of Chloe's Ancient knowledge, rather than attempt to cure her using it. We shall no doubt find out in the coming weeks.

Back to the twin-plots episodes. Something on Earth via the stones and something "small" on the Destiny.

Something I wondered about: with Eli now owing Camille, how long before she calls in that favour to either spy on Dr. Rush or "against" Colonel Young / the military...?

.

I think Chloe was taken for hours. They DID do something to Rush though, they implanted a tracker next to his heart and they tried to get info from him and he resisted them. Perhaps they were trying a different approach with Chloe. Also she's female so that gave me a thought just now. . . Anyway they did stuff to both of them they could have had lots of reasons to do something more drastic to Chloe. Perhaps her youth made her more likely to survived altering her DNA. I wonder if they will cover more of what that was all about. Looks like Trial and Error may give us more.

I enjoy the story of Eli and his mother, it was well done. Although I really would like them to use the stones in situations more interesting like the time Young was linked with the alien. But definitely love the ending for Eli and his mother.

I liked this episode as well as it was close to something I could reflect. I went away and I missed people. I missed seeing their faces, hearing their voices, even feeling their touches. It is so humane, so simple, yet so complicated and dramatic. I can reflect the writers feelings and I understand that they couldn't be just writing one plot but they had a chance to weave in multiple strings making the over all storyline so much more effective.

As rest of the people thinks I also believe that Chloe is going to much more than what she's showing, and I do believe she's going to betray the mission in order to gain the control over the ship. And as you now know that she's working on the bridge, it's all more destined to happen than not.
