I saw and loved the thread about DT quotes and thought that it might be nice to have a best quotes thread pertaining to all SK books, short stories, calendars (Cycle of the Werewolf) and what not.
One of my favorites, one that I will never forget, is a line about Larry Underwood from The Stand just after his late night experience with the dental hygienist.
"He swung his legs out of bed and found a crumpled pack of Winstons with one crazy cigarette left in it. He lit it with a green plastic Bic lighter. It tasted like dead horse sh*t. Out in the kitchen the sound of frying bacon went on and on, like radio static."
I've always wondered if it was the horse or the sh*t that was dead. These are the things I think about when I'm home alone and the TV is broken.
