Having spent some time on these forums I am being reminded of how I first came across some of what now are becoming classics.
I read The Colour of Money back in the distant first or second year at University - all of 25 years ago.
Whilst that and The Light Fantastic were not as good as the series became I immediately had that feeling of something new and special.
What a ride it has been reading these books on holidays over the years.
