Nakomi (spoilers for Towers of Midnight)

During Aviendha's chapters, we see that she runs into an Aiel woman called Nakomi, but who is she? Is there more to her than meets the eye?

I've read some theories that suggest it could be an Aiel Wise One, a channeller of some kind, or even one of the Forsaken, but I'm not sure. Her mannerisms reminded me almost of Verin, but I'm not sure how that could've worked out (I'm not sure of the Aviendha's timeline, nor of how it fits in with Verin's).

All in all, Nakomi is a bit of a mystery.

Yeah, I like the Verin theory. Not having days mentioned or any sort of time referenced it's difficult to work out what's happening when. I do think she would have already died because Rand and Egwenes timeline seems to be at the same point given his visits to Tuon and the subsequent attack on the white tower in TGS. I believe Perrin and Mat were behind somewhat and that Verin would have died before Aviendha left for the waste. Just my feelings though, nothing concrete.

I do want to know what happened to the rest of Verin's notes though.

I have to agree. Nakomi is a mystery. I keep trying to remember what effect she had on Aviendha that might have been significant. She was obviously meant to encourage Aviendha, but encourage her to what? Would Aviendha have gone through the Ter'angreal for the third time had Nakomi not shown up?
