Daniel Day Lewis as Abraham Lincoln

I'm kind of iffy about an Abraham Lincoln movie, because honestly, when I hear Abraham Lincoln will be a movie, then I'm kind of put off guard by it. However, if you put Daniel Day Lewis next to a 5 dollar bill, I could kind of see the resemblance.

There's an Abe Lincoln movie in the making? I've seen Young Mr. Lincoln by John Ford and that was a decent film of Lincoln's formative years, though not particularly deep.

Is this Speilberg's project? I remember hearing of one he was lining up with Liam Neeson. I think either Neeson or Day Lewis would make a fine Honest Abe.

Yes, it is Speilberg. I'm still wondering if he's still doing Halo, because he should definitely throw that project over to JJ Abrams.

I thought Halo has been dead in the water since it collapsed under Peter Jackson and Neill Blomkamp. I don't recall Spielberg ever being attached.

* Haven't played through the Halo games so don't knock me if I'm wholly off-track with the hero's identity here. On a different note, I'm not too excited about a *serious* movie project from Spielberg, I find most of those un-involving (despite some good qualities). And I've grown quite tired of these nearly 3-hour long "sweeping" biopics that are designed carefully for Oscar statuettes.

He was tied by rumors I think. Spielberg was supposedly on Halo, and the director of underworld was doing Gears of War.

If it was up to me, I'd choose:
