spaceship called kraftwerk, a guy finds a ring in ruins on some world that makes him immortal, he already has the ability to grow claws and fangs when he needs to kick ass,
Anyone recognize this book?
 
That's The Space Mavericks and its sequel Children of the Night by Michael Kring. It was supposed to be an ongoing series, but no further books were ever published.
