I've been an avid reader of fantasy books for many years now, and look back to the books ive read over the years in fond memorys, but theres some books that were loaned to me, that now in later years id love to re-read but cant remember the titles or authors, i expect im not the only one with this proplem lol

one that stands out wich i would love to re-read is a fantasy book about a prince/king/or other member of a royal family that has the abailty to call forth a suit of armour that he dosent put on as such but is a part of him that is available for him to wear whenever he wants (sounds a bit like a gyver anime but it was way better lol)

from what i can remember he becomes an oucast because of this armour, i may be w3rong in this though lol

if anyon has read this book or knows of the book that i'm poorley trying to discribe then i will be eternally gratefull

anyways this seems like the kinda place where im sure ill get the right book in seconds lol so ill look forward to reading any posts, thanks to you all in advance :)

Edit your post:

That remind me of a book I have read. Unfortunately the name does not come to me. In the book I’m thinking of the armor has the memory of all of its past users and tap into their abilities when the prince fight. Part of the plot I think is that the armor dehumanizes the prince, making it difficult to keep the god parts of himself intact. His main adversary is some sort of godlike force/evil that has threatened the land before. The same book?

I remembered the book I was reminded of by your description. Terry Brooks books on the magic kingdom of Landover. The armor is called the Paladin.

From the Inside Flap

Landover was a genuine, out-of-this-world magic kingdom, complete with fairy folk and wizardry, just as the advertisement had promised. But after he purchased it for a million dollars, Ben Holiday discovered that there were a few details the ad had failed to mention.

The kingdom was falling into ruin. The dragon Strabo was laying waste the countryside and the evil witch Nightshade was plotting to destroy everything. Ben's only followers were the incompetent Court Magician, Questar Thews, and Abernathy, the talking dog who served as Court Scribe. The Paladin, legendary champion of the Kings of Landover, seemed to be only a myth and an empty suit of armor. Of course, there was the lovely and devoted Willow -- but she had a habit of putting down roots in the moonlight and turning into a tree.

To put the final touch on the whole affair, Ben learned that the Iron Mark, ugly and terrible lord of the demons, had challenged all prospective Kings of Landover to a duel to the death -- a duel which no human could hope to win.

In, 'Landover,' Ben is an outcast (he actually buys the kingship in our world). He's the first victim of the scam (a renegade Landover wizard has been making a fast buck flogging the kingdom to unsuspecting marks for years, they all die horribly ) who finds the amulet which allows him to summon the paladin. The amulet and its powers make him the true king.

He's the only one who knows the truth about the paladin, though.

Brooks isn't that great a writer and this series is among his best (which isn't saying much).

Not Lord of Snow and Shadows? by Sarah Ash? 'raised by his protective mother in the sunny climes of the south, Gavril Andar knows nothing of his father - or of the ominous legacy that awaits him. But now the man who ruled the wintry kingdom of Azhkendir, a man infused with the burning blood of the dragon warrior known as Drakhaoul has been murdered by his enemies. Expected to avenge his fathers death Gavril soon learns that becoming Drakhaon means not only ascending to the throne of Azhkendir but slowly changing into a being of extraordinary power and might.'. He does nt have a suit of armour to change but there is another character also has a suit of armour with memories of elvin warrior kings that turn him slowly into a royal elvin warrior. It also talks about it dehumanising the boy with the warrior memories. Book one of the Tears of Artamon.

That device was also used in Raymond Feist's The Magician with Tomas.
