New Year's Special Announcement

Not sure if I can post this here, but, I thought I would have a try at a little self-challenge project, so come January 1st, 2011 I will be accepting non-commission story requests. You provide the characters and the world, I will provide the story.


Rules:


Must be of a fantasy genre, I do not write outside the field. Any combination of fantasy and any other genre is acceptable.

I will determine the length of each section and where to stop for posting.

I will try to add to one story section per week, but no guarantees will be made on this. I will try to post the entries on Saturdays within my blog and on deviantart, but again, no guarantees are made on this and if I am satisfied with a section beforehand, I will post it early.

Each section entry will appear in my original profile page on deviantart for a number of days determined by myself, then I will post each section to its own personal folder for easy storage and viewing.

Some objectionable content may appear within some of these stories, such as drug use, violence, erotic situations, and language. This will be circumvented only by the character descriptions you provide. Any story containing mature content will not be able to be viewed over this site, only on my deviantart profile.

Do not expect any product of a novel length. I am not a novelist.

Requests for poetry may be made, but specifically requested.

CONSTRUCTIVE criticism for these entries will be welcome.

All content is the copyright of myself, and may not be reproduced without my express written permission. Copyright will be listed within each section posted.

Portrait-based characters will be more than welcome and are even encouraged. I enjoy a challenge.

And finally, as listed before, these are to be non-commission. No monetary gains will be made from these pieces.

Portraid of myself from one of the games I did at around 2002. Only objection I have is on use of my first name,

so use it if you like. I do not want to add up my own backstory to the character, just that I would like it to appear as Northern European vampire.

Ah, Jyhad (or Vampire, as it was renamed so as not to offend our Muslim friends, presumably) - I recall many a happy evening spent playing that game. Awesome!

Sorry, didn't meant to derail the thread. Good luck with the challenge - not my sort of thing, but sounds like fun!

Alright, Northern European vampire, will have to do some research on that sort of thing.


Story one requested. Most likely have to add it to deviantart, though, so one rule change will be in effect:

You never stated the character had to be human. It (not he or she, but if you need a gender, he) is my character, just commissioned. My drawings are on dA too, just not nearly as good XD My name there is MistingWolf as well if you want confirmation.

About Yl: Is a semitransparent daemon that can become solid if it wills. A carnivore, Yl is a trickster and cruel; It's top mouth speaks in a male voice, and its bottom, female. It likes to imitate loved ones, mostly those who have passed away, to lure its victim close to be devoured. I otherwise have no real backstory for it.

And that sounds like a nice challenge. I have two other projects at least to start upon, but I will try to get things put together.



This is getting rather difficult to come up with, though...there's no worlds in which to put these things in so far.

Ohh. Wow, I totally missed that. I'm not colorblind, but I've noticed I tend to skip over anything in red writing.... Huh. Maybe I'm just rebellious that way.

I'm glad to give you a challenge! :} Stories shouldn't be rushed, so there's no hurry. I'm sure you'll think of a great world for all of your stories.

Actually, now that I think on it, I should really instigate a new rule to make things a little easier on myself concerning worlds...

Hmm...I'll consider that but I won't implement it yet. Morcalia's a large planet, and indeed most has not even been discovered, but...I can only go so far with it.
