Probably not the best time to be starting this thread seeing as I've just lent The Lies of Locke Lamora to a friend of mine, but what the hey...I like a good quote and it's always a nice way to remind yourself of great moments (well how about that, I think I've finally thought of what to do with another Edgar Allan Poe thread ).
So I'll snag probably the most obvious quote for myself (strictly for emotive impact rather than language, but this was one of those moments in a book that I saw coming and thought to myself, "Oh it has to happen and he has to say it!" And when he did I laughed and cheered):
