I leant a friend of mine SCS. He really liked it (In fact he kept quoting from an entire evening, rather throwing my game of Halo online) and then he made an interesting suggestion- it would make for a great Radio series. I have to agree.

Ok, so that isn't much of a thread starter, but for my pal's sake I thought I'd better put the idea out there.

Actually I have thought about this and wrote a test episode some while ago. I did send it out to a couple of producers but I've no idea if they'd be interested. Radio comedy is a strange thing - the stuff on Radio 4 ranges from the very good to the absolutely terrible.

That said, radio would certainly seem like the right place for it - if only for cheapness of special effects. If anyone happens to marry the controller of Radio 4 in the next few weeks, do let me know...

Was this before or after your books came out? Might be a different kettle of kittens now you've a trilogy out there.

I've never wrote any SF for radio, but if I did, I've always figured I'd send it to the production companies that make stuff for Radio 7's seventh dimension hour.

I'll keep you posted about Radio 4's controller and me...
