Hi,

I'm new to the forum. I usually post on the Klipsch Forum so this is kind of different. Anyway, I've been looking for a Science Fiction novel for years. I can't remember the Author nor the title, but the story line involves this guy who is a normal, somewhat slow individual with a girlfriend who has contact with an alien organism and as a result his physiology improves and so too does his IQ. The end result is that he used to idolise his girlfriend and when meeting her after his physiological and intellectual changes started kicking in, he realised how coarse she was. The rest of the plot has faded in my memory, but I remember I enjoyed reading this book.

Any help would be appreciated.

Except for the alien part, I'd suggest Flowers For Algernon by Daniel Keyes.

I think he went from listening to Sears Silvertone speakers to K-Horns.

Hi. Yes I used to own Klipschorns. Now I own the 'smaller' Belles.

Flowers for Algernon might be what I was looking for. I wasn't sure about the alien part either. Thanks very much for that, I'll give this novel it a try.
