I can distincly remember 3 short stories I read as a kid but I don't know who they were by or what they were called.

1. There are two brothers (I think they're twins) and they spend the summer away from home at this place with a storage shed in the yard. Inside the shed, though, time moves at a different pace and whoever enters it ages quicker than the world outside it.

2. This one is a little bizzare and the details I have are sketchy. It's a story about the human survival instinct (I think). There is a group of people that have been taken into a building (or a room or something) and there is a machine in with them. In order for the people to get food, they have to fight (or something) and then food pellets are dispensed from the machine. Or something like that..

3. This one is about a man who starts noticing patterns in newspaper photos of crashes. The people in the background of the pictures are always the same, if the crash has a fatality. Then he is involved with a crash and sees those people, so he knows he's going to die.

Very bizzare, I know. But if anyone can help, that would be awesome.
Thanks!

I know I've read the third one, but I'm not sure at all where. I'm going to offer up the John Varley "Air raid" as a suggestion, but not much confidence in it.

Can you give any indication of an approximate date you might have been reading these?

The third one is The Crowd by Ray Bradbury.
