KaptariMind
Argonaut
Hey guys! I wanted to share with the SFF Chronicles crew the animated mythology/horror film I'm currently working on: Kaptara.
We anticipate completing the movie by October 1st, 2011 and would love your feedback.
Kaptara is a retelling of the Greek Myth of Theseus and his epic battle with the Minotaur. More than a thousand years before Leonides led his 300 Spartans against the might of Xerxes, Athens was the first spark of reason and free thought in the ancient world. But the fledgling city-state was threatened on all sides by primordial societies, hostile, powerful and cruel, each threatening to snuff out the light of civilization before it began. The mightiest of these was Kaptara…
Here are some of our still images so far (we're hoping to have a rudimentary trailer by April):
If you would like to read more on the story and see more concept art and images, go to the Kaptara Facebook Page (Hit ‘Like’ for us, it really helps): Kaptara | Facebook
What we're attempting is a 300 meets Jaws (ancient weaponry versus a man-eating super beast who sneaks around tearing people to shreds). Basically, it's a fantasy/mythology/horror film, with a dash of steampunk for extra spice. LOL
Is this something you’d like to see? Any advice?
