I'll begin with the flim From Beyond (1986) directed by Stuart Gordon, starring Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Ted Sorel, Ken Foree, Carolyn Purdy-Gordon, Bunny Summers & Bruce McGuire.

This (R-rated) movie stands out for me because of it's weird comic book style horror combined with fantastic science, however this movie does go far beyond the original story.

Overall it's a spectacular Lovecraftian midnight freaky film to watch, very well directed with fine acting and good special effects. :) Start making the popcorn.

I haven't seen that many Mythos Movies, but I enjoy the HLHS version of The Call of Cthulhu, and Out of Mind.

Another schlock classic; Re-Animator (1985) Brilliantly funny and inventive, it's a total treat. Made the year before From Beyond by Stuart Gordon.

I haven't seen 'From Beyond' yet but as soon as I find it I'll give it a watch.

Let's take a moment to mourn the loss of Guilermo Del Toro's 'At the mountain of Madness' ; green lit and within a month the producers had pulled the plug on it. Would have been sublime!

Great flick, even the sequel Bride of the Re-Animator (1989) was good too.

If you like the Re-Animator, you'll like From Beyond

I would have loved to see that film....sigh...:(

For the past month or two I've been using this list (& my NetFlix) to watch as many Lovecraft films as I can-
I should mention that I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to movies...;)

I like the '60s stuff ("The Haunted Palace", "Die Monster Die", "The Shuttered Room" & "The Dunwhich Horror)-
Haven't seen "Curse of the Crimson Altar" (1968) yet...

"The Resurrected" (1992), directed by Dan O'Bannon & based on "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" was very cool!
& I just love "In the Mouth Of Madness"
The silent "The Call Of Cthulhu" (2005) was great fun & I'm looking forward to
"The Whisperer in Darkness"

& I like anything by Stuart Gordon &/or Brian Yuzna ("Re-Animator(s)", "From Beyond", "Dagon" (a favorite), "Castle Freak", "Dreams Of the Witch House"...)

I (kinda) liked Ivan Zuccon's films "The Shunned House" & "Colour from the Dark"-
I have to find his earlier 'Beyond'' films-
Of the three Lucio Fulci's films I watched I liked "House By the Cemetery" the most...

Two I didn't care for at all were "Dark Heritage" (1989) & "Beyond the Wall Of Sleep" (2006) & I'm not expecting much from (Ulli Lommel's) "The Tomb" (2007)

One film I like a lot & don't see ever mentioned is "The City of the Dead" (1960)
A young coed uses her winter vacation to research a paper on witchcraft in New England...

Still got a lot to watch~

ATMOM was the only movie that I have really been looking forward to, my hopes have been dashed, I hope Universal Studios crumbles to the ground so I can piss all over the rubble.
