A friend of mine, Andy West, has just had a story published in the anthology Matters Most Extraordinary: Superheroes Throughout History.
The book is available to download for free and there are some cracking stories here. Andy's in particular is well worth a read: a typically clever and thought-provoking piece of SF. His story, "Empirical Purple", was workshopped at our writers' group a while ago and very well received.
