I thought I'd read my Purnell Colour Classics version of Journey to the Centre of the Earth to my kids tonight (age 5 and 7), not sure it sank in somehow...
 
Never read the book but I saw the movie. I'm sure the lead character isn't as ecentric as Brendan Fraiser though and probably doesn't yell at everything when in danger. =D

You may be surprised Larry. Dad used to read all manner of stuff to me when I was a nipper. Still remember some of it to this day. Good book to start with as well. I had a 'simple' version of 20,000 Leagues, we were inseparable for a time.
