Looking for a 1970's(?) book possibly called Yago.

I'm looking for a book I read most likely in the early 70's. I believe it was about a planet called Yago(?) in which the inhabitants either had no emotions at all, or possibly could only tell the truth. I'm 50(!) now so I can't recall the details. I also have no idea who the author is. Thanks so much for reading my post :p
