The Things You Want To Tell

To the people you are blessed with, that haven't read the books, but are watching the series.

Or, even the things you can tell...but have trouble explaining.

What a Greyjoy is, or that's a son of the Lord Commander.

Or, ohhhhh, wait til we meet someone who flies the sigil of the flayed man.

Friggin' Boltons.

Ohhh, Hightower...we haven't even met The Lords of the Vale yet.

My mum asked me about Robert, "is he going to make it?"

I had to look at her and say, "I can't spoil it"

I just keep saying "Oh Drogo is gonna get Viserys his crown soon."

I kind of helped my wife on the way to working out what 'the seed is strong' means. Okay, kind of a lot.

I really want to tell her most everything (Ned! Jon! Robb! Cat! Jaime! Cersei! Robert! Oberyn! And she hasn't even met him yet!), but I've so far refrained.

I've been gently reminding my wife of things that she has already seen, but I steadfastly refuse to tell her if the latest character that pops into her head is going to die. I remind her that i took a sacred oath when i started watching the series, ans breaking that oath would lead me down a road that has me changing my name to Jaime

I like The Imp much better :D

My wife hates Viserys, I am probably close to the line but I told her "Dont worry he'll get his"

I won't tell my wife anything because I'm convinced that she'll crack under pressure and HAVE to read the book fairly soon. Her shcool year ended today, and she spends a lot of her vacation time reading. She might find AGOT on her desk one morning. She won't be able to resist :D

You know, it's not so much a desire to explain what's coming as it is a desire to show why I love the story so much.

I want to talk about the evolution of Dany into the Mother of Dragons, and Arya being trained as a Faceless Man.

Imp brought it up in another thread wherein they called Gregor simply "The Mountian" which bothered us both.....I so want to explain that he is The Mountain That Rides, and that he picked up a viper one day, and got bit.

When Jaime and Jory were talking about Thoros and his red sword charging through the breach, I wanted to talk about Mel and Azor Ahai, Stannis and Shireen, Patches and the Krakens.

Not mentioning the Tower of Joy has been a feat of pure will.

I kinda told one of my friends who watch the series "a few" things about the book. He kinda likes the Others, so I told him the we will see them in the third series.
"A few" means kinda a lot but I haven't told him anything about Oberyn, the Krakens, the Red Wedding (he knows Rob will die, but doesn't know how), the Iron Throne (he know something but not much), Arya, Sansa, Davos, Jaime, Cersei. I told him something about Dany, but not much and some things about the dragons, Jon, Bran.

it was a 2-3h talk about the series and books, also in order not to spoil much I kept several thing from him.

Anyway, he still likes the series and will keep with it. Funny thing is, I told him about the books and that a series will be made, and tuesday, after the first episode, we meet and he told me he watched the first episode.

Good plan Ser.
I know for a fact my wife will not read these books, not a reader.

In the opening dream sequence last week, my wife was asking if Bran was dreaming, I only told her to wait and see.I was hoping the crow would talk.

I did tell her that Tyrion was being framed but not by who.
