What comics should I read next?
At the minute I have a collection of both marvel and DC titles.
I have : Old Man Logan
Deadpool : Dark Reign & X Marks the Spot
Ultimates 1 & 2
Ultimate X-Men Ultimate Collection 1 (1-12)
Marvel Zombies 1
Marvel Civil War
as Marvel titles and from DC I have : Batman : Arkham Asylum
Year One
Long Halloween
The Killing Joke
Hush
The Dark Knight Returns
and I intend to buy Dark Victory
Where should i go from here? Superman or the Green Lantern are places I'd like to look or are there some marvel titles you think i would enjoy? Even other Batman ideas would be appreciated.
Thank You

It really depends what you are after.

From the looks of things you enjoy the superhero side of things, so that does really narrow the field to DC or Marvel.

If you are after some good solid stories, I'd look up The X-Men Dark Phoenix Saga, Captain Britain Archives The Jaspers Warp, Any of the current Captain America or Daredevil.

From DC Watchmen springs to mind..

But really there is so much out there...

If you after cheap reads Marvels essential range collect 20+ issues in phone book style graphic novels, and are well worth a look. They are in black and white but in some case the art actually looks better

Watchmen is just fantastic, you should know Alan Moore has skills since you've got The Killing Joke. He also wrote some Swamp Thing.

Essential Spiderman 1 is pretty damn good, and 2 just might be better.

The Boys by Ennis and Robertson is what's really rocking at the moment though.

Watchmen is a must-read for anybody, IMHO. Also consider V for Vendetta and the best graphic work of all time (my opinion again) Maus

For a series I'd say Fables - much better than most other 'comic' stuff out there.

Or if you're interested in Green Lantern, the thing with Green Arrow was quite good IIRC. The two offset each other quite well - then again I like GA so I'm a little biased. This is the more conventional superhero stuff but with a little added depth.

I know this may be a bit off of your usually fare, but the graphic novel Blame is a dark masterpiece. It is Japanese manga but the story is on a grand scale and unusually interesting.

i second the suggestion of the boys if you'd like to see a unique and subversive view of superhero mythology, if you'd like to step beyond the superhero/masked vigilante universe then go for the invisibles, transmetroplitan and preacher. if you liked alan moore's dark interpretation of batman and the joker's relationship in the killing joke then none of these should be too far out for you.

Do you just have the first Hush? I thought Return of Hush was a bit ropey but Heart of Hush is amazing, Catwoman is kind of taken to a new level in it, though the fact that it felt so much more about her than about Batman might put some people off.
Other DC wise, I love JSA, it's a lot more fun than a lot of current DC comics can be, but then Green Lantern Corps is fun and a good jumping on point to the mess that is Green Lantern, I'd read nothing before I read the first trade of Green Lantern Corps but I wasn't confused at all, and really enjoyed it.

Neil Gaiman's Sandman is my favorite. I loved everything about it. I also liked fables and watchmen (the pic is THOR from Sandman. I made into a pin)
