I went to the launch party for this yesterday evening. It's a fabulous exhibition with all sorts of rare and 1st editions on display, hand written pages from some classic novels, films being run with earphone audio, even a Tardis!

Free entry, and the exhibition's on throughout the summer. Really is well worth a visit (and the British Library's worth visiting in its own right).

It's fantastic that an institution which is such a high profile part of the establishment is not only recognising Science Fiction but positively celebrating it in this way.

I went there today. What a great exhibition to showcase the width, the depth and the sheer awesomeness of "scientifiction"!

Everyone who likes literature or sci-fi or bugs or tall women should go!

I would love to get along to this but 600 miles is rather a long way to travel :( However I will probably have to go South sometime around the end of June so I might try to grab some time to go then.

I was thinking that Chrons had been remarkably quiet about this event. I mentionied it in another thread but there was no further comment.
