Wow, does NOT seem like two months since I was last out here, but time flies when you're busy.

There were some family health issues to sort of interrupt everything for a while. But those are now solved and out of the way, and I am back on track.

In the Department of Publication, my first novel ARD MAGISTER has been released as an ebook through Sky Warrior Book Publishing. It is available on Smashwords and for the Kindle on Amazon.com with a new cover (by me).

HOUNDS OF ARDAGH should be released as an ebook in June (or was it July), and DRAGON'S TONGUE sometime in the months to follow.

Meanwhile, I have a few stories in circulation that I am waiting to hear on, and a guest blog on Hall of Heroes scheduled for the end of this month.

I am through the copyedits for HOUNDS at this moment in time. I am also trying to get THUNDER HAMMER and TO THE FLAME in final form so I can get them into the submission process.

Have been to MidSouthCon and RavenCon so far this year. June, I will be doing back to back conventions when I head first for SoonerCon in Oklahoma City, and then the following weekend, I go to Dallas for A-Kon.

Later in the year, I am visiting DragonCon and Archon...

So, business as usual. Sometimes more than I can pull away from.

Congratulations on the upcoming releases!

You know we have our own blogs here, wherein you could hold forth on some of your ideas about writing? There are a number of threads on self-publishing (which I know you used to do) and if you were to share your experiences, either on your blog here, or if you were to drop by our publishing forum, it could be helpful for some of our writers here.

And while I'm milking you for information: I've never heard of Sky Warrior Book Publishing. Could you tell us a little about them? (And are they open for submissions?)

Well, in truth, the only self-publishing I have done has been reprints of stuff published in small press magazines and anthologies that vanished as soon as they came out. And sometimes I print up chapbooks, but again, it is stuff I have sold elsewhere.

I do occasionally put an original unpublished story on my website, so I guess that counts as self-publishing.

(No, I am not against it. I just think there are times when it is fine and times when it is not wise, but of course, the industry is changing. :) )

And of course, I did self-publish a harper mage novel about Anwyn's mentor Rhystar. But that was because I decided only a few would want to buy it. (Yeah, I know, that sounds so wrong. :) )

The ebooks are being published by a small press called Skywarrior Book Publishing, and the editor is actually bugging me for something original...

So I debate whether or not to say yes and give her what she wants, or to hold out for a print publisher (though Skywarrior is looking into doing some print editions too--just not my books because they already have print editions and I was not so keen on selling reprint rights yet).

The guest blog is for Hall of Heroics over on the Rogue Blades Entertainment website. I have had a couple of stories in their anthologies.

But I would be happy to toss out a blog or two. I am long winded by nature. ;)

As for Skywarrior Book Publishing, the best thing is to offer a link. At this time, they are only looking for reprint materials from established authors, or at least authors published by a regular or small press publisher.

Info is available here: http://www.skywarriorbooks.com/

The editor herself is a published author of nonfiction and fiction.
