So, now you are voting for what portrayal of what character do you like the least? In other words, you dislike or even hate.

Again, the criteria is entirely your own. You may not like the actor's portrayal or the look or the scenes/lines they are given.

I have only included those characters that I have determined there has been some misgivings about. Multiple choices possible.

Again, have fun!

I voted for Cersei and Loras. I am holding our hope for Lena as Cersei and I think she will get there. I wanted Loras to be more flamboyant.

There are a few iffy castings in the series i was'nt so sure about Robert Baratheon at first but the dude grew on me as time went on, Sean Bean is a bit wooden and Ned comes across as a bit dim (though i've always had the opinion the character was a bit dumb throughout GoT) also i dont picture Catleyn being so old and weary looking in the book.

Renley definatley was'nt what i was expecting neither was Loras but the biggest casting dissapointment in the series is for sure Sansa i wasnt expecting some big breasted blonde hollywood starlet but someone completely different from who was cast.

Well my top pick is Renly. To be fair, I'm not sure that it's the actor's fault. It's probably more the dialogue and direction he's been given. Renly should have a far more carefree, fun-loving, 'don't worry, it'll all turn out fine' kind of attitude. The TV character, I feel, is more like a whiny, spoiled little boy. To all the folks who haven't read the book yet ... you've got to! Renly's character is being assassinated in this adaptation!

My other choice is Lena Headley as Cersei. She just wasn't how I pictured Cersei at all, and I haven't warmed up to her in the least. I do love to hate Cersei and I know she can be haughty and aloof, and I would say Lena Headley captures that side of her. But I also think Cersei has a warm, sexy side and can turn on the charm when it suits her, and this is completely missing in Cersei's portrayal on screen. There's a line in the book where Cersei is laughing at something and Tyrion wonders "Is this the side of her that Jaime sees?" (or words to that effect). I just can't see TV Cersei ever being relaxed and laughing. We've seen scenes with her and Jaime alone and she's still as cold as ice. I think if she laughed, her face would crack!

I've also chosen Sansa's character, though I'm a bit torn about this one. The actress may yet turn out to be the best or the worst in the show. Sansa is a dim-witted innocent at the start, and I really really hope that's what Sophie Turner was deliberately aiming for, and that her performance will become sharper as we get into later seasons. There's just something off about her (though she definitely looks the part for the role).

I was also going to pick Catelyn, as I still think she's far too old, but the actress has played her role really well and I've gotten used to her, so I'll let her off the hook!

Finally, thanks TK-421 for putting this poll up. :D

Thanks TK, good poll!

I only have one answer to this one: Renly!!

I don't think it is bad acting, it just seems like they gave him a personality transplant!!

I forgot to mention Cersei (shockingly as im such a Lannister fanatic) but yes I agree she is much to serious, Lena Headly would have made a much better Catelyn for sure. Im not saying Lean Headly isnt attractive because she really is but the picture or Cersei I have in my head is the killer hot blonde chick with the brain to match who puts all the men in KL to shame.

That's interesting Tezz, I'd never considered Lena Headley as Catelyn, but yeah it might work! I love this drawing of Cersei. This is how I picture her. She's smoking hot and sexy but is she giving you the come on, or looking down at you like you're a bug? It depends what you want to see!

Needle, we are in complete agreement! :D

I agree I also like this pic :

Like you said perfectly catches the character well I think.

On a different actor I have been well impressed with the lad who plays Joffery he does a real good job and when i read the books now that is exactly how i picture him.

Agreed! Joffrey's role is being played well. I want to punch his smug little face (which is a terrible thing to say about a child, but, you know, it's Joffrey!!)

I voted for Jon Snow. I've noticed a lot of people talking about Ned as coming across as a dumb character, but what about Jon? Reading the book I was imagining a thoroughly hardened teenager, but he just seems too frank to me. Also the facial hair makes him seem a few years older than I imagined him to.

I can definitely see where people are coming from with the criticisms of Cersei and Catelyn, but what bothers me most about the two of them is how far apart they are age-wise.

I voted for Cersei, Catelyn and Sansa.

I think the actresses are doing a fine job with what they've been given; it's what they have been given that I have a problem with.

Cersei - At least in the first few episodes, was not as 'hard' as I always perceived her to be. Like that scene where she is talking to Cat about her son (by Robert) who died in infancy. Cersei was emotional in that scene, which is very unlike her. From what I remember in the books, Cersei was glad she didn't have Robert's son. It seemed to me that the show's producers were attempting to make her seem more 'human' in that scene, where in the books I've never got the impression of Cersei as anything other than a Class A b***h.

Catelyn Stark - The show, I think, is showing Cat as too soft and emotional. The Catelyn in the books, even though she feels overwhelmed and weary on the inside, always maintained a strong and confident demeanour on the outside, for the benefit of Ned (and later Robb). TV Catelyn seems... weak.

Sansa - This one is the weirdest. TV Sansa is, frankly, a jerk. While her relationship with Arya -- even in the books -- was never great, she always seemed to me to be more on the naive/gullible side. In the show -- particularly in the scene where she's mocking her Septa -- she's leaning far too much towards bitchiness.

Bonus
While I didn't vote for him, I'm also not entirely crazy about the portrayal of Eddard Stark. Ned in the books had his share of flaws (an argument can be made that the troubles that befell House Stark all started when he ignored Varys's and Littlefinger's counsel and refused to play The Game) but in the show he -- much like Cat -- is portrayed as too weak for my taste.

I voted Renly. For the same reasons as Mesanna. ;)

Tyrion should be on this list IMO...

I'm ok with Loras. He's perfectly pretty.

I didn't realize I could select more than one.

I chose Lena Heady as Cersei. I loved her in The Sarah Conner Chronicles, but as Cersei she lacks fire and passion. She seems like she's just sleepwalking through the role. Maybe the writers or directors are to blame, because she is a good actress.

My second choice would be Renly, but his role has been minor to this point so there's still room to change my mind.

Overall I think the rest of them are portraying their characters pretty close to the way they are written.

I voted for Cersei, Sansa, and Renly. I was skeptical of Lena Headey as Cersei when she was cast, and she hasn't changed my mind yet. My opinion of Sansa has gone down as the season progressed, and Renly has been a disappointment since seeing him on screen.

I have to say overrall that they did a wonderful job with the casting. These may be my least favorite, but they have all done a good enough job that I don't think any of them are completely wrong for the role. So far there isn't anyone where I thought 'Wow, they really got that person wrong'.

Also, I think it would be good to do these polls each season, as opinions are bound to change as we see more of them...and new characters as well.

My votes were for the actors playing Renly and Sansa.

My initial responce to Renly onscreen was: Is that.... Renly? It seems he's Stannis, well, minus his interactions with Loras.

Regarding Sansa, I have no sympathy for her in the series, there is absolutely nothing Stark about her, and its not so much the writing as it is her portrayal for me. I was never a huge fan of the written Sansa, but the acted Sansa makes me respond in our watching group: "Can I grab anyone a beer?" But I do have hope as the character grows.

Of course, I certainly can't act, I'd probably ruin a scene as an extra. Additionally, watching the show after having read the books, I am willing to say my expectations of the series are unrealistically high.

Finally got to see the full season finale, and I'm thinking that Sophie Turner may have been saddled with subpar writing at times. That or they just waited for her to show any wolfiness.

There are actually none that I dislike! I saw the first season before reading the books (I saw one episode, then tried to read them but kept getting distracted). But after reading the books, I've noticed that Lysa looks a lot different in the show than in the books. And I actually prefer her in the show. So there are none that I was disappointed with or anything.

For me, it would Sophie. Or, perhaps I have high expectations... I do so wish that later on the girl playing Sansa would grow on me and with better scripts (methinks). :)

Thread necromancer again, sorry.

I've mentioned it elsewhere, I can't stand the portrayal of the Northmen as having Yorkshire accents. I believe they did this purely to accommodate Sean Bean. The Northmen should have Scottish accents and they should have cast Dougray Scott.

For the record, I have no problem with Sean Bean's performance, I just can't stand the fact that he's not Scottish.

Why should they have Scottish accents? If you were trying to find a family from the Wars of the Roses to link with the Starks you might be looking at the Percy family of Northumberland. Even the Boltons might be loosely based on the Scrope family, Barons of Bolton Castle in Yorkshire, if just for their name.

I equated the First Men with Celtic people's in general as their lands were never conquered by the Andals (Anglo-Saxons). So I imagined the iron born as Irish/Scandinavian, and since I imagined the old speech as sounding like Gaelic or Erse I saw the free folk as being like highland Scots.

I actually imagined the men of the Vale having Yorkshire accents.
