(Probably Found) A cat-like slave species to lizard-like rulers. The former becomes a gladiator and then revolts

I have been looking for the title of sci fi trilogy I reaad years ago, but I cannot remeber the title nor the author.

The most can remeber is that the story is about a cat like slave species to lizard like rulers. The former becomes a gladiator and then revolts.

It's three books, the first is red I think, with an illustration of the cat-like female main character. She is a slave/pet of a lizard-like emperor's daughter. She thinks she lives the good life, somehow gets away, and falls into gladiator life where she becomes the best, eventually becoming a revolutionary in the third book (black I believe, with a picture of the lizard-like now-empress) and overthrows the lizards for many animal species

Can anyone help with this?

This is the Alien Chronicles by Deborah Chester for Lucasfilm. The first book (red) is The Golden One (1997), second is The Crimson Claw (1998) and third (black) is The Crystal Eye (1999).

Cat-like aliens enslaved to lizard-like aliens.
