It's like 32 euros where I live. I think the price for the previous 4 in paperback was around that in total.... Sigh.

Maybe when I'm in London I'll see a cheaper version somewhere... Otherwise I'm too flat at the moment to spend 30 euros on a book...

mine was awesomely timed... i pre-ordered online, and when i opened the door wednesday morning (July 13th) it was on the front step waiting for me... damned work couldn't start reading til 9 hours later

Hehe, when I hopefully get through the first 4 books (almost 60% thru AGOT) I will get Amazon to ship it to me in under 60 seconds. Yay the beauty of Kindle and the Interweb. I am really enjoying AGOT so far and think Ned and Tyrion and Dany (so far) are cool characters but man do I like the venomous relationships between certain characters. And the unpredictability of the plot.

Was it the same in Waterstones HB? When I checked they had a £5 off, where as Amazon had £10 off. I wonder if Waterstones have different prices in different areas, or whether they dropped the price after I asked a few weeks ago.

That being said the nearest Waterstones is 7 miles away, and I start work before they open and finish after they close. If I wanted it before Saturday Amazon it was...

Of course as it stands I won't get it until tomorrow so no real difference I guess.

Just goes to show what I know. 4.59, just getting ready to go home and there is a knock on the office door... Now I have my own copy!


(That being said a friend of my dads who I loaned the first book to after he started watching the TV show, bought his copy on Monday - and as he's still on CoK, I've got his copy... )

Mine was only £12 as I Pre-ordered it about 5 years ago . And with Amazon Prime it was Free delivery.

Well I finally got mine this morning, after I had to make a trip down to the Post Office to pick it up. I've showed it to some people at work, cos I just wanted an excuse to take it out and stroke it haha!
