Hello, first of all I'd like to apologize in advance in case I've posted in the wrong section.
I've been searching for a specific type of novels in the past months but I haven't quite found what I'm looking for. As the title says, I've been meaning to read some minutiae fiction sort of in the vein of Nicholson Baker's work . I'm looking for a 'plot-less' novel about minor daily life details - (somewhat similar to Joyce's 'Dubliners' )
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have read some Nicholson Baker (The Mezzanine, The Fermata). I think you might like The Afternoon of a Writer or The Left-handed Woman by Peter Handke.

Handke seems to be something of an underrated author Antiloquax. Perhaps due to his controversial nature? The Left-handed Woman is a good choice.

@Gollum - I had to check after your comment about controversy. I wasn't aware of his comments about the former Yugoslavia. I think I first heard of him because he co-wrote the screenplay for Wim Wenders' film "Wings of Desire". I've read a few of his books and they are very good. "Repetition" is another one I enjoyed!

Wings of Desire is one of my favourite films....:)

Thanks a lot for the recommendations . I tracked down Handke's The Left-handed Woman and read it , I thought it was superb and it reminded me a lot of the themes explored in the films of Chantal Akerman . I have yet to see his own adaptation of the novel, but I'll get to it as soon as possible. I've place an order for 'Later, at the Bar: A Novel in Stories' - should arrive soon.
Thanks again everyone - you've been quite helpful.
