In a most unfortunate turn of events, I am about to lose my BBC America channel. We have to switch to cable from satellite, due to increasing loss of signal from the satellite peering through the trees, and the cable company does not have BBCA. Of course, that's the only channel I'm really interested in!

So where is a good place to watch Doctor Who episodes online? I've been trying to sift through the (oh dear, I must be hanging out here too much, I was about to say "rubbish") errr... large collection of useless and/or dangerous sites that advertise such possibilities, and it's grim. I even signed up on something called sidereel.com that looked really good and then discovered that they don't actually have what they advertise. God knows what spam I'll get out of that.

Any gems amongst the riffraff?

Does BBC America have an iPlayer similar to the one BBC have over here?

BBC iPlayer UK

If not, then I'm not sure what to suggest. Sorry.

Cut the trees? The only TV we can get where I live now is satellite. No cable and no terrestial broadcast we can pick up out here. I recently cut a tree down in my garden because it was blocking my neighbours signal (to be honest it was getting too big and cutting out too much light from the garden anyway) he now has perfect reception again and we have neighbourly harmony again :)

Well, we cut down one tree already, but apparently the lower channels have a signal that is wide out to the sides, and it's not clear how many trees might have to go to get there -- it looks like it ought to be clear already, and it's not. So we don't really want to keep sacrificing trees for uncertain hope. :) I'd like to get a campaign going to get the cable company to make a deal to get BBCA -- that might be easier!

I'll have to check out that link. I did find that Netflix has everything up to this season, although a lot of it is DVD only, not streaming, and I'm not sure how long it takes them to get an episode after it airs -- it might be a possibility. I believe someone at work will record them for me, so I'll only be a few days behind. :(

That vidics link looks promising -- I'll have to check that out at home! Hulu, as far as I can tell, anyway, only has trailers for Doctor Who -- no actual episodes. I'd love to be proven wrong on that, as I could just be blind as a bat.

Here is the UK download link

See if it works for you if it does just PM me for which episode you want. They only last 30 days mind.

Oh aha they probly moved them to like HULU+ or something they had the episodes on last year thats dumb.

Vedics is a good place.

Oooh, oooh, yay! This question has become more rhetorical than essential. Cable is hooked up, and BBCA is there after all!

So I'm fine for current episodes, and can concentrate my efforts on catching up with all the old ones. Yay again! :D
