So, I was wondering how many of you have read/heard of The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. There are currently three books out in the series (Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr) with a fourth (Inheritance) coming out in November.

They're most famous for Paolini, the author, being fifteen when he started writing them. There was a movie made a few years ago, which I personally thought was awful.

So, thoughts?

Oh, yeah, it's been discussed around here. Often in less than...praising...ways.

I've read the first two. Mostly because I was around the same age at the time, also trying to write a novel, and was most envious at this guy who'd achieved it. Mind you, I also realise that my first novel should never see the light of day again. It was great experience, but now I've got it out of the way and can do some proper writing...;)

I've no desire to finish the series and see how it ends, which I did with Harry Potter, despite hating it post fifth book.
