Book set in the future Northwest area of North America

I am looking for the name of a book (series?). It is set in the distance future after a nuclear holocaust. Location is the northwest of North America. Some military people are awaken after being frozen in life support. They find that society is at a medieval stage and they do not have a record or memory of the past.

It's a trilogy starting with Warrior, followed by Wanderer and then Witch. I liked them when I first read the books, but then went back years later and found them very amateurish.

Thank you both for the title(s) and author. Interesting point about it being amateurish; since I started to read it almost 20 years ago, I wonder if I will still enjoy finishing it.
