Jackson's cameo appearances

1st movie: He is a citizen of Bree as the hobbits work their way to the Prancing Pony
2nd movie: He is a soldier/citizen of Rohan fighting at Helms deep. He is the one throwing a spear at the Uraki attacking the door.
3rd movie: He is a crew member of the corsair ship that is about to join Mordor army to fight Gondor. He is actually killed by Legolas from his warning shot.

Well hush my puppies. I was totally unaware he did cameos in all three films.

If I were a film director, I know I would do it.

He points himself out in the special features of 1 and 3, but those were the only two where I spotted him. (before i had watched all the specials [and therefor knew he had done it] but after seeing enough of them to know what he looked like)
Good job Arkose spotting him in all three.
Reminds me to keep an eye out for him next winter in The Hobbit.

good job? Sometimes I wonder if I should watch something else. lol

I learned that he was in the 1st from the special edition but I was able to pick him out the other times. He'll be in The Hobbit, A gold prize for whoever can pick him out.

I can already point up the Second Unit Director, but I wonder if he will sneak in a cameo as someone other then his role.

I knew all three, but only because I've watched the extras on the extended edition DVDs!

I spotted him in all of the LOTR films, but I honestly didn't spot him in the first Hobbit film. However, he is very obvious in the second one. I won't say when or where, but I don't think anyone who knows what he looks like will miss him.

I spotted him in Desolation of Smaug and also in Fellowship when we watched it not long ago. I think I saw him in Hobbit first film, but I have forgotten. I want to point out when he is seen in Desolation. So below....or don't

He is the first Character face shown on screen.

I'll tell you this, he isn't the dragon!

He mentioned in the extras on the Extended Edition of An Unexpected Journey that he gets pressured about the cameos now, and he feels obliged to do them, because if he didn't do a cameo for one movie, it would look like he doesn't care enough about the movie.

I think it's a nice little touch, and it's quite funny in TDoS.
