Check out Goodreads first before you choose, its much better user friendly than LT. Its near perfect cyber library shelf. You dont have to use the forum,blog part.

I tried Librarything when i wanted to catalogue my library online. It took too much time to use.

I will check them out. I was able to add about 50 books in 15 min or so on LT, but I am disappointed they don't automatically alphabetize.

I use both and sometimes prefer LT for its simplicity-not interested in all the group reads and group messages you get on goodreads!

You dont need to be member of group reads and groups at all. I dont use that part as before. GR i use mostly to comment on reviews by my GR friends, mostly people i like talking to here in chrons.

The best thing about Goodreads i can find any copy to add to my shelfs of the books i own, any old version. If not i can add them as Goodread librarian. The fact its easy. LT looks so bland in comparison to all that.
