Although fat, timid, and unsure of himself, he is
His place is the Last Hearth, closest to the Wall. His sigil is a roaring giant with broken chains, and he's one of the sincerest of Robb's fighting forces, with a heart bigger than Tormund.

I don't want to see him dead; I don't want to see him suffer tortures like Reektheon. I want him to return; harder, stronger, and kicking Freys and Boltons where it hurts most. Since he's gone missing from the narrative since the Red Wedding, I also fear for the worst.

Please tell me what you think will happen to him? Will he be sacrificed for the "greater good" of the Riverlands, or the North? Or will he make a strong comeback?

I would love to see him make a comeback, especially after what happened to Robb Cat and Smalljon..but I fear he is soon to be killed once daddy Frey sees how his house is being killed off.

I'm rooting for an out of the blue comeback, preferably at a critical point in some kind of battle (such as a REAL showdown between Stannis' forces and the Bolton's, since I don't believe Stannis is dead). I picture a repeat of the battle at the Wall when all seemed lost, and then Stannis' forces came pouring in unexpected to save the day. This time it'll be Stannis in dire straits, all appearing to be lost, and Greatjon comes roaring down the hill taking Ramsay's unprotected flank. Greatjon will then capture Ramsay and feed him to one of Dany's dragons. Roast ******* on a spit.

Yeah. That's the stuff.

Jaime Lannister passed on the order to the Freys to turn over all their hostages to the Lannisters/the king. I don't think the narrative mentions whether or not the Freys actually complied though.

If I am remembering right Jaime did order the Frey's to turn over their captives but I do not believe they have done so. If not the move/transfer will be the Greatjon's chance! Plus it will totally set up the rebellion? of what what the Boltons consider their army, the Umbers are only with them because the Frey's hold Greatjon, this is true of many of the other families as well, as far as I know Lord Manderly is the only one who has gotten his family back. Plus the portion (the biggest portion I believe) of Robbs army is still wandering around out there somewhere with Maege Mormont. They would lack the strength to assault the Twins but once they are out of there all bets are off!

Release the kracken ain't got nothing on release The Greatjon!
