Hi all, as the title says it ain't the Emmys but I had to let everyone know-

Spike TV Scream Award goes to-

Best TV Series GAME OF THRONES

Best Supporting Actor PETER DINKLAGE as TYRION

Breakout Performance-Female EMILIA CLARKE as DANY

:D

Spike TV Scream, must admit
I truly never heard of them.
Still most awards are better than none.

I was hoping Sean Bean would get best actgor, but it was nice seeing GOT getting awards. Spike is aimed at younger people, so that really helps to increase the fan base of the show, which is a great thing IMO.

Help me out here. I do not get HBO but was under the impression that Game of Thrones was a movie and yet you seem to imply it is a TV series? Could someone please clarify.

GOT is a mini-series. 10 1-hour(ish) episodes.

Not to sound nitpicky, but GoT is a series that at this point is 10 episodes in length. It's as much a series as any other HBO, Showtime, etc. series (Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, etc.)

Almost enough to make me think about picking up HBO but maybe I will just wait for it to come out on DVD.

HBOis worth getting for GoT and Boardwalk Empire. Also, Tyhe Sopranos is now re-starting On Demand, episodes 1-4 are currently available

From what I've read, next March is being touted as the release date for the DVDs. I think this is a bit crazy to be honest. I would have thought they should be releasing it any time about now, as it would make a great Christmas present. How much more revenue can they get from TV re-runs between now and March, compared to the Xmas market? It's a little disappointing, to be honest.

March?!!! :(

I was looking forward to getting them to watch over the Christmas/New Year holidays.

Looks like Bond and The Great Escape yet again....

It seems like they release the HBO and Showtime series to DVD much slower than films make it. I would guess this is so that people are forced to continue to watch them on their pay channels for as long as possible.

Once again let me say that the versions I downloaded on bitTorrent are beautiful.

I can wait until March. I watch way too much TV as it is and there is so much waiting to be read! I was sort of hoping to put it on my Christmas list for some kind soul to provide but perhaps I will just wait until the following Christmas, who knows, maybe I will find it at a half price book store by then.
