I'm not sure how effective book trailers are for advertising books but Teresa talking about hers has made me think about trying to get mine out there a bit more.

I made a trailer for my horror anthology, Casting Shadow and only used it on my old website. I also have a trailer for my YA novel, which is used on my author page on Amazon and my website, and YouTube. Not sure where else I could use it really!

Anybody else have a trailer?

Thank you, both. I'm quite pleased with that one, but the trouble is that because it's on PhotoBucket, it's difficult to use anywhere.

Is that the one with you chatting, Stephen? I like that idea... Not sure I'd be any good at it though.

I also like your giant cactus.

I like the animation on The Kingdom of Malinas, Mouse.

I've thought about doing one like Stephen's, talking about GM, but I'd have to appear on camera and I'd hate doing that. Also, I'd have to have something interesting to say, which Stephen does, and I don't.

There is a book trailer though. I haven't put it on youtube, because it's not the "good" one my husband and I plan to do soon. This one is just so I have a video to put up on my author's page at amazon.

The next one will be more exciting (I hope).

Thanks, Teresa. :)

I watched your short trailer on Facebook. Thought it was very intriguing!

Mouse,

You've done a good job there, I particularly liked the Malinas trailer. Is that your animation work?

The Casting Shadows trailer was good, but would have been excellent with some very dark atmospheric music.

Unique idea and it works well.

A mate of mine made a trailer for his book (PRIMAL Unleashed) but he actually worked with a camera crew to film a mini movie as a book trailer. It's the first time I've seen it done:

Ta. Not my animation, unfortunately. I wish I could so that sort of thing, I'd animate everything!

At the time I did the Casting Shadows one, I didn't know how to add music. I found out how to a little while ago... but I suspect I've forgotten it by now!

One of Teresa's trailers is like a mini-movie. I've seen it done a few times now and would love to have a go! I reckon mine'd look a bit poo though.

Your friend's one is very good!
