cloning, a female messiah, gog and magog

Hi, i remember (or at least i think i remember) reading a book, where an aged scientist clones his daughter after her untimely death, of 20 attempts one is successful, but she is the messiah (born virgin blah blah) the church denies her, due to the timing of her birth, vast armies under the psuedonyms gog and magog struggle and as the church denounces her she being the true messiah makes it so that anyone on the planet who hungers has that hunger felt by everyone.. really would like to re-read it.. if not, i shall have to write it!! lol thanks for your help
