It sounds as if they have taken some of the shorts they had up before the series aired and put them on this product. The 7 audio commentaries might be interesting though.

The blu ray info is identical to the regular dvd info.

I can't give you a link, but I read an interview with someone involved in the production (director Taylor seems like who it was, but again, not sure ) and they were asked about an extended or directors cut. Their answer was basically that the budget was so tight that didn't shoot any scenes that weren't used, or basically that there wasn't any footage in existence to make said extended edition.

Bummer huh?
