I remember picking up a book quite a while ago that had science fiction/horror short stories in it. I think it may have been intended for teenagers, but I could be mistaken. (I know it was in English but I can't remember if I bought the book in England or America?)
The story I'm searching for I've thought a lot about since I read it, but despite google searches I've been unable to find it again.
The story was mostly centred around a teenage boy, he was kind of not a very nice person. His mum was a scientist that had developed this serum that made people immortal, they could not die even if deprived of oxygen or cut up or something.
The boy got hold of the serum, and first used it on bugs and would cut them up. Then he used it on people I think?
Anyway, the boy used the serum on himself so he would live forever- and the butler had been around the entire time (and hated him), and the butler pushed him into wet concrete and he got sealed into it. So basically this boy could not die, but was sealed in concrete for ever and ever.
The idea is kind of distressing, but I wanted to re-read it if I could find it- and I would appreciate any assistance if anyone recognized this. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thank you in advance!
