Moderator of forum?

If you go to the first page ("Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums"), there's a grey bar just below the list of forums, and above the maroon bar ("What's Going On").

On that grey bar is "View Forum Leaders". Click on that and you'll be shown a list of the moderators.

Ah! But we don't have many forum moderators any more. Most Moderators are now SuperModerators of all forums. The only real Forum Moderators are the authors like Teresa Edgerton and Mark Robson who use their forum on Chronicles as their main online forum. If you wish to ask a question by PM and get a quick answer then just ask a moderator who is currently shown online at the bottom of the main page. Brian is the owner of the site, but you might have to wait a while for a reply from him.

One other thing - new members are not allowed to post private messages until your post count reaches 15 - sorry, that is just something we are forced to do to stop spam.

If you want to ask a question, what is wrong with a post? There are really no "stupid" questions!

Although we don't have forum moderators as such, we do tend to spend more time in one area than others, so it's worth familiarising yourself with the specific forum and see who posts there -- eg Ursa would be the first point of call for anyone in the GRR Martin area. For Aspiring Writers/GWD it's me, Ursa, Teresa, Culhwch, chrispenycate, pyan and nixie who are here most.

NB: If you can't PM, and you don't want to post in a new thread, you could always send a visitor message.

I would like to say that I had thought of asking this question a couple times, because mod's here are not visibly set apart from other members. But I never managed to because I love the fact that I cant tell a mod from a non-mod. Not just because your names are not in a different color, but because you act like regular members, answering questions as quickly and kindly as the rest of us and never flaunting your powers. I think it is one of the things that sets this site apart for me, there is no power play from mod to non-mod just as none of the published authors lord it over the unpublished authors. Everyone is welcoming and on "equal footing" so to speak, yes we are all at different levels of prowess in various aspects of our various lives, but I absolutely love that it doesn't make one bit of difference in the friendships that are formed here.
I mean it when I welcome people to "our little slice of heaven" because I havent heard of any other place where the "haves" so willingly and joyfully help out the "have nots" where the experienced step forward with kindness to offer assistance to the inexperienced and where said assistance is gratefully and kindly received.

Thanks for making a thread I could drop this rant into, its been on my mind for the last few weeks and I just didnt know what to do with it.

Feel free to shoot me a PM, and once you've done that I'll get this thread moved to Feedback, as I suspect it's not going to be a question specifically about the "General Writing Discussion" board that's being raised. :)
