He's down right scarce. A short story on average every couple of years. He's kind of like Krispy Kreme Donuts that way - keep the supply suppressed so demand stays high (with those who know of him anyway). I think he lives just a few miles from my sister, who's also a technical writer.
Yes, he seems switched on and interesting. He's one of those authors with a good name who I've not actually read... I should probably try and rectify that.

A Ted Chiang movie. Whodathunkit? But I'll check it out.
(One thing that does puzzle me is that, since about 1950, people have always been saying, "In my day, SF didn't get any respect but now it's a Big Deal." To me, SF is probably less of a big deal now than in some years back (more in visual media, much less in print, perhaps less overall), still gets disrespected by some, and was respected by some years ago. It's always a mix.)
