*spoilers*

The lie is more comfortable then the truth. Democracy is dead and so is the old world. But yet one can so comfortably hang on the past. The past, where everything was a-ok; people could dream about luxury cars and a bungalow at the beach side. And that is how T-Dog wants it to be. To live in safety and luxury, and not having to worry about what's lurking behind the next corner. I believe that is how most of the survivors besides Hershel wants it to be, when they cannot see them fitting in Ricktatorship.

Would you?

Would you want to stay under an umbrella of a strong leader, or wander around the countryside until you find that abandoned luxury pat by the seaside? Well, I can dream about that, but the realistic in me would want to stay safe in a place, where I can feel strong walls around me, even if there's ten thousand moaners at the other side.

Maybe some of you could say that there's dwarf blood running in me, and I wouldn't even bat an eyelid to say: "Yes." A castle like fortification is a good place to be, but it's nothing compared to a fully realised underground bunker. And seeing the barn going up in flames next to hundred pairs of glassy zombie eyes is a horrifying image, when you think about sucking in generated air and watching herds wandering around from a television screen.

But all of that can and would be spoiled with the knowledge Rick possessed for so long time. Nobody is safe as everyone's a carrier. And that bit of knowledge kills hope like nothing else. So say what you want, but in my mind Rick did the right thing and kept the information hidden, until he was absolutely sure about it.

Don't you agree?

Thing about the prison we saw in the last scene is that like any other place they've visited in the past, it's full of biters. You cannot get away from those monsters. And to clean up that place they need Rick's leadership, T-Dog's strength, Andrea's sharp eyes and Michotte's swords.

I'll give five stars for the season two. It was a really good one.

For the most part I really enjoyed season two. I have this feeling in my gut that this show is going to push me away over time. I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like they can't avoid whittling away the group to nothing. And they still can't seem to all band together without quibbling or stabbing each other in the back. I know it would be difficult in a situation such as they are in, but Lori's reaction to Rick's admittance to killing Shane was just plain stupid. I knew they would leave the farm eventually, but I really would have liked to have seen a larger surviving group on the road longer. With what little I know of upcoming events, the prison is the next episodes stop, and it's going to be a torturous bloody mess, and that is not including anything the zombies will do. It will be just more of the same human hurting humans and will probably take up most of season three's episodes. I've kind of grown weary of that. I guess I'll find out in October because, yes, I will be waiting for season three.

Huttman, I'd say that Lori's playing with fire. She's a queen of the dead, and she wants things going her way. She pitched the deal to Shane and when Rick revealed that he had to put Shane down, it gutted her. She was hurting and she's going to be hurting because she knows that she's carrying wrong man's child.

So I think it was brilliantly played and I look forward to seeing what prison brings in as Hershel farm was extended compared to what it was in the comics. I wont say much, but I say this, I'm missing the old man with his weird hat.

OK, are you talking about the conversation Lori had with Shane in which she vehemently apologized to him? That seemed to spark something in Shane, and I'm embarrassed for not catching on to this as things don't usually slip by me, but what did she do? What is this game she is playing because it seems stupid. Not stupid as writers stupid, but honest to goodness people stupid I see in real life all the time. The only thing is, I didn't catch it with her character. Would you mind elaborating on that, ctg? Thanks, I'd appreciate it. I miss Dale too.

Certainly I will, and I'm sorry if I get it wrong because I'm feeling a bit drugged from all the painkiller I took to kill this toothache. But if you remember the episode, where at the end Lori revealed to Rick that Shane killed Otis. Not only she said that, but she also said, "that no matter what, the baby is yours."

Th episode ended with Rick looking curious, but what we, or at least I felt was that Lori was scheming. She was playing with fire and wanting Rick to do something. Then 2nd to the final, Lori goes out to the field, where Shane is fixing the windmill and tell Shane something quite opposite to what she'd said to Rick, by saying, "I think the baby is yours."

Some people could say that she nuts, but I'd say that was part of her schemes, where she's playing a game of who's most fitting to take the throne next to hers. Shane in his alternated state of mind saw fitting that he would use Randall's death to advance the play and see if things would go his way and he'd win back Lori.

You then see her face, when Rick reveals the nightly events, and you kind of figure that she's feeling sick for losing a player. So I think that it would be fitting to say that Lori is an old hag, or a evil queen.

The second half of season 2 from the barn onwards was very good indeed, aside from a few misteps (like Lori's accident).

Things are shaping up very well for season 3.

This was a great finale to the season. The only thing that bothered me about it was Lori's reaction to the news of Shane's death. Maybe she did really love the guy, but did she not suggest to Rick in an earlier episode that he should get rid of Shane?

I loved the scenes with Andrea and I have really warmed to her over the last few episodes. The irony of the situation that Rick found himself in at the end was striking. He sounded so like Shane.

How long do we have to wait for Series 3?

I agree, in the last few episodes it finally got bumped up my viewing order and became a 'must watch'.

Not sure about all those headshots from the moving vehicles, though!

Thought this was a great way to end the season. Very excited that they've brought in Michionne :)

I think Rick made the right choice in not telling the group because he was told that they were all carrying from Jenner, who we can all agree (at least in my family) was more than just a little crazy. He needed to confirm for himself whether or not it was true, and he got that confirmation with Shane and even more when Daryl mentioned Randall.

The way they've got this going, I think they're (the writers) trying to set Lori up to die like she does in the comics. Even if it's not going to be exactly like the comments, I think they're trying to get rid of her and if they aren't, they might need to think about it. She's starting to get on my nerves. First, she can't make up her mind as to whether or not she wants Rick to stay around and be a good father or if she wants him running around protecting everything else. Then she essentially begins baiting Rick and Shane into some sort of a fight--if she didn't see that something was going to come to a head between those two then she was really dumb.

I'm also kind of wondering about Carol. I keep trying to figure out if they're going to get rid of her like they do in the comics or keep her around. If they keep her around, she needs to change her attitude, especially towards Daryl. When Sophia first disappeared, she leaned on him and depended on him to find her, but when Sophia showed up in the barn she basically said she didn't care about everything he'd done in an attempt to find her. There was also her comment to him at the end of the episode where she asked him why he stayed because he'd have a better chance on his own.

Before anyone says anything, I know that they haven't exactly followed the comics, but they seem to be bringing elements in and having events happen in a circular fashion (i.e: Rick and Carl being the one's to take down Shane; the prison; Merle being the one missing his hand rather than Rick; Michionne and her walkers).

Sorry if it seems like I'm rambling. We've been having many discussions about this in my house and we've noticed these things :)

I'm afraid it's going to be many, many months and I suppose they'll come back around October.

I believe it will come back in September or October, going to be a long 5-6 months!

Question about the hooded woman that showed up at the end of the show:
Why didnt the walkers that she had chained up try to attack her? I'm sure they were hungry as usual. I did notice they did not have arms but still could have tried to bite?

She's a character from the comics, and that's explained there. Hopefully, they'll do it in the show. If you really want to know, highlight below :):

Her name is Michionne, and they were her brother and his friend, and she keeps them around because they keep other walkers away from her for the most part. They don't really attack her because she's had them chained for so long that they've basically become like pets...

Thank you Fire Dragon!
I had watched several of the Talking Dead show after WD and the host said he had gotten tons of emails asking when she would be in the show.
I also heard that the show only covers up to about issue #11 of the comics but so far the comics are into the 90's issue wise, so plenty of material for future seasons.

If look closely or if you'd read the comics, you would see that she's wearing a camouflaged poncho that is covered with zombie entrails and that the two "pet" zombies doesn't have arms or lower mandibles. So, she figured out a way to walk among the horde or after them as they prowl through the country. However know that she's not emotionally attached to her "pets" and they'll get chopped as soon as possible.

At least they have material to draw from! :)

That's the only thing that bugged me about this episode. Lori all but told Rick that he should kill Shane... and when he did, she bugs out. I guess she could've had a change of heart, but she must realize that he was a huge danger to keep around.

She was really making me angry. She kept changing her mind all over the place, first she wants Rick to make sure he stays around so that Carl can actually have a father, then she wants him going all over the place making sure that he keeps them all safe.

Then she was definitely baiting both Rick and Shane. I think she wanted them to fight it out and (maybe really deep down but still there...) she wanted Shane to be the one to actually win.

This was a great finish to season 2. The action was great with the walkers attacking the farm.
Shame to loose a couple of characters, but at least the main group are still together.

Not sure what Lori is up to, why she pushed Rick away, especially as she practically told him to kill Shane..... I so dislike that character!

I like that Rick is taking charge, about time too, he's pussy footed around the issue enough. Looks like the Prison is going to be the start to Season 3 :D

Overall I did enjoy this series, though Im not happy at having to wait until next May to see Season 3 :(

Really enjoyed it! Bring on the prison, Michonne and season 3!

I will say that I hope Lori is going to die and fast. I cannot stand her. Keep an eye on your son, lady! And her attitude towards Shane and Rick is awful. She was basically playing them off each other, and when Rick got tired of it and killed Shane she suddenly has morals. Give it up, Lori.
